Jordan Spieth (born July 27, 1993, in Dallas, Texas, United States) is an American professional golfer who won the 2015 Masters Tournament and the US Open at just the age of 21. He claimed his third major title when he won the 2017 British Open.
After his family joined a country club, Spieth began hitting a golf ball at the age of four and began playing regularly at the age of ten. Spieth’s skill was highlighted when he won the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in 2009. In 2011, he won his second U.S. Junior Amateur title, becoming the second golfer alongside Tiger Woods to win the event multiple times.
Jordan Spieth, 28 years old, was born in 1993 in Dallas, Texas, to parents Shawn Spieth and Mary Christine Spieth. He graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School in 2011 after attending St. Monica Catholic School. He credits his first golf lessons to Brookhaven Country Club.
Jordan Speith Wife
In December 2017, Speith got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Annie Verret. The two are thought to have met in high school in Texas and remained together despite attending different colleges. Spieth went to the University of Texas at Austin, while Verret majored in business at Texas Tech.
Verret has been spotted often attending Spieth’s events and contests since they graduated from university and was present for his FedEx Cup success and Team USA’s Presidents Cup victory in 2019.
In 2018, the couple got married over Thanksgiving weekend in the state of Texas, where they both grew up. According to Golf.com, PGA Tour stars such as Jason Dufner, Jimmy Walker, Rickie Fowler, and Zach Johnson were among the players in attendance.
Despite what can only be described as occasional troubles on the golf course, Spieth has been one of the greatest names in American sports for a number of years.
With a forecasted annual income of $27.6 million in 2020, Spieth was rated 52nd on Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid athletes. He went off the list in 2021, but his estimated net worth is over $110 million.
Under Armour Deal
Jordan Spieth reportedly earns $26.9 million dollars from all endorsements annually. Currently, Spieth has a 10-year deal with Under Armour, which has been extended for another four years until 2029 as a result of his 13th PGA Tour victory. In addition to the new arrangement, Under Armour has pledged to provide more than $1 million to the Spieth Family Foundation over the next eight years.
Jordan Spieth’s Caddy
Jordan Spieth and his caddy Michael Greller have one of the closest and most unconventional player-caddie partnerships on Tour. The two have actively collaborated on three major championships since 2011. Many people believe that Spieth and Grellar are old friends because of their seemingly close relationship, yet this is not the case. Spieth is 15 years younger than Greller, and when he first met Greller in 2011, Greller had a full-time job as a math teacher.
Greller was working as a high school teacher in Seattle at the time. When Spieth returned to Greller’s hometown to compete in the US Junior Amateur, he had been working as a part-time caddie to supplement his income. The two partnered up, and, unexpectedly, Spieth won. They teamed up again the following year when Spieth, the world’s top amateur at the time, qualified for the US Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.
For over ten years, Spieth’s go-to putter has been the Scotty Cameron, and it has delivered results. So Jordan Spieth has had no compelling reason to consider switching putters.
In 2022, Spieth is still making use of the Scotty Cameron Circle T 009. Additionally, the 28-year-putter old’s grip was replaced this year due to wear and tear on the handle. To complement his putting game, he placed a new SuperStroke Traxion Flatso 1.0 grip.
As of April 26, 2022, Jordan Spieth ranked 9th in the world in the world golf ranking. The highest world ranking attained by Jordan was on September 28, 2015, when he ranked 1st with 12.833 points. Spieth has stayed at the pole of world rankings for a combined total of 25 weeks. His most recent rank at number 1 was on March 21, 2016. Between November 9, 2015, and March 21, 2016, Jordan Spieth maintained his longest streak in top golf ranking for a total of 19 weeks.
